The production of our scotch eggs begins on a farm located in the beautiful Essex countryside, where wheat and barley is grown and milled to produce food for pigs. The welfare of the animals always come first because a happy, stress-free pig produces meat of the absolute highest quality, meaning our scotch eggs are truly the best!
Biting into this ball of joy you will find a runny centre surrounded by incredible tasting pork meat, with the vegetarian option encapsulating the taste of beetroot and chickpeas. The attention to detail during the production of these scotch eggs is like no other, being made in the farm butchery to a unique recipe using only the best ingredients. Sausage Rolls
Course Dorset farmhouse pork with caramelised red onion and carrots, wrapped in light flaky puff pastry which are then baked with an egg yolk glaze for a crisp, golden finish. These sausage rolls will leave you wanting more.
The local markets around London give much inspiration to introduce new ideas and variations to these sausage rolls, depending on the season.
Strawberries
Only the freshest, juiciest strawberries come from Chegworth Valley, a family-run business situated in the heart of the Kent countryside. The area benefits from rich, fertile soil, providing the essential nutrients that help make their fruit taste naturally good.
All their fruit is planted, nurtured and grown on the farm, before being hand-picked, hand-selected and carefully packed by their expert team. This ensures that only the best quality, freshest tasting fruit leave the farm and into our picnics.
Cheese
Patricia's love of cheese began during a skiing trip to Meribel in the French Alps. She returned to London with a wheel of Beaufort Chalet d'Alpage which she sold from her garden shed, graduating to a stall in Camden market a year later. La Fromagerie now comprises three award-winning shops along with Patricia's award-winning first book, 'The Cheese Room'.
