Award winning independent cheese makers working from their ‘micro dairy’ in Tottenham. Passionate about quality and provenance and bursting with creativity, rather than recreating traditional cheeses, Wildes decided to invent their own.
Started by Philip Wilton when he was made redundant from his management accountancy firm in 2012, Philip’s micro dairy was soon to be added to with Philip’s partner and business partner Keith who now make the team that create their award winning cheeses, like the ‘Alexandra’ which has just launched in our shops.
A creamy, nutty semi-hard cheese made, like all their cheeses, from the milk of a single herd of grass-fed cows located just outside Rye in East Sussex. Using just this milk and vegetarian rennet they conjure unique flavours and textures, selling at farmers markets across London.
Alexandra, named after London’s Alexandra Palace and their most prized award winning cheese, can be purchased from both our Hampstead and Primrose Hill shops at £40 /kg.
